Empty kitchens

Sarah and I did a shift today at the charity where Luke works- Empty Kitchens, Full Hearts. It's in the old Leith Theatre but moving premises to Granton next month.

We were packing up food which will be delivered all over Edinbugh. Here is Sarah getting stuck in - mixing up the new dish made by the kitchen today - a barley and bean stew with sweet potato and broccoli. We then divided it out into 328 portions. I worked on hot food service, ladling out soup to people who came to EKFH for their lunch. There's also a hot meal served outside every evening.

We are now on our way home on the bus. Sad to say goodbye to Luke and Otter but we will see them again in a few weeks' time :-)
