The weather forecast wasn't brilliant but Joanna and I decided to go walking anyway. As they say, there is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

We were headed for Lochmaben, to walk around Castle Loch. As you can see, the colour of the beech woods more than made up for the dreich day. As well as this, we saw sculptures, interesting fungi and plants, heron and swans, a bird hide perfect for our tea and biscuits, and a forest school. Who needs sunshine?
