Cold and Grey but Blissfully Dry

A 10 minute trek on the sea shore and my fingers felt as if they were going to fall off. Well worth it though. The sea had washed up piles of those bits of driftwood , worn smooth, and all curls and whirls and I came home bearing an armful.
