Objects d' art?

On the Wellington waterfront this magnificent structure is actually holding a bridge bit up (I think) 
Anyway It attracted the eye as The Boss supped (extra) and had his senses ignited altho it contained a Hot Choc rather than Coffee so maybe "senses simmered" might  be closer...
