dog in a bag

This morning I used the magic bus pass to go to Edinburgh. It takes over 3 hours from Dumfries but it's a lovely scenic route.

Luke was waiting for me in Princes Street Gardens. He had brought Otter with him - his 13 week old Golden Retriever puppy. I saw them both on a bench being photographed by two Japanese tourists (see extra).

Otter is happy to be carried around in a bag some of the time and people often want to stop and pet him. He is pretty adorable!

We took him down to the beach at Portobello, where he played with another puppy friend, and then met Sarah, who has arrived by train from London.
