Remembrance Yarn Bombing
I met up with my friend T today at Ely. Rain / showers has been forecast for days but we thought we’d risk it and we were lucky and it didn’t rain at all. After an early lunch, we had a lovely walk along the river and I found the circular route over the railway line and back through some trees and a park. We also visited the antiques emporium. I loved this postbox yarn bombing of a Tommy and poppies and we also spotted a knitted poppy arch at the church. It was soooo nice to catch up. A shock to the system to drive back in the dark (aka pitch black in Norfolk).
Day 604 / Day 115 of Step 4 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
Researchers have identified proteins which they would like the next generation of vaccines to target as they don’t change much, would be targeted early in the life cycle by T cells and potentially would target all coronaviruses. Since late Oct in Russia there have been c40,000 new daily cases and at least 1,100 daily deaths. Younger children are now starting to be vaccinated in the US. Germany reported a record number of new cases, with a top virologist warning of a further 100,000 deaths unless urgent additional action is taken now. New cases in the UK are back up to 39,329 today.
