Poppies
On my after work walk work, I blipped these knitted poppies at St. Michael’s church, Inveresk. Along with the familiar red ones, there are lilac ones, which commemorate the million of animals that lost their lives in various wars.
Over 8 million, horses, donkeys and mules were killed in World War One … the loss of any sort of lives is to be grieved for, and it hasn’t been any so called ‘dumb’ animals that have started any wars!
Tomorrow is Armistice Day.
I hope you have had a good midweek.
