Under a leaden sky (widwed101121)
A mixed day!
We took Lyra (our motorhome) to the local Citroen dealer in Banbury for an urgent recall to do with the front suspension damper attachments ... and they didn't want us to drive her. So Lyra is now stuck in their secure compound awaiting the bits being delivered.
Sadly, they are on back-order, so no idea how long this might take.
We did get a couple of photo and artwork frames in Dunelm and then went to Waitrose for coffee - and shock horror - they had nothing dairy or gluten free in the cafe. Gill responded to their request for feedback and the manager gave us our coffee with no charge. We bought a couple of free from cakes in the main shop, but met someone who was seriously unimpressed with the non-availability of Marlborough buns, he was intending to write to their head office.
I resisted the temptation to ask if he was familiar with the notion of a first world problem :-)
Back home, thinking of a photograph for wide Wednesday ... and the forecast drizzle began.
This tree in a field is not far from Compton Verney and has become my desperation blip! Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting Wide Wednesday on the theme of sky.
Much sharper seen large on black.
Some days I like to remind myself I live in a country where we can drink the water AND criticise off the government!
Batsford blipmeet tomorrow :-)
