Diary of an Edinburgher

Not narky!

Both had sore arms all night. But funnily enough, after JR’s vigorous gym session this morning, including weight lifting, her arm is OK now. Maybe I should try that…

It was a dry, sunny day, so Robert came to take Archie out. Though Archie came home filthy - he’d found the biggest muddiest puddle to romp in. So as soon as Robert was gone - a nice warm bath and blow dry for him. He doesn’t mind at all.

Then the day seemed to disappear without us doing much. I finished one audiobook, and started a new one. I’ve got a new trick so that I don’t fall asleep and lose my place. I put on a 10 minute sleep timer. Brilliant, so if I do drift off, I don’t get too far. The builders seemed to start skill sawing, drilling, hammering in the room upstairs quite late on in the day. VERY LOUD, but fortunately, Archie is not bothered at all. And I know they have to do it - we did it too (though not, I hasten to add, in the evenings). Actually one builder came down about 6.30 to apologise, saying they were under pressure to get it finished. What can you say? Can’t be narky when they apologise.

A few more tweaks made on our 5* spring holiday. It’s perfect now!
