Level crossing….
Well, at least I caught it this time! No magic though, no real speed recorded as with a proper camera….
And not a good visit either to our friends’ lodge. We’ve been chasing jobs for several months without seeing any progress, just more promises of tomorrow, tomorrow. Sometimes I really feel that they as the owners living abroad, it’s a case of out of sight, out of mind. But we’ll keep on the case for them. Their UK home is a beautiful place and we love the journey through the Surrey Hills each time we visit.
Valerie begins her chemotherapy tomorrow. A two hour infusion beginning with steroids and anti- histamines. I spoke to her this evening. She’s anxious and still in pain, wondering what’s been happening in her body during these weeks of nothing. We love her dearly and although we know she won’t be going through this alone, it hurts. The doctor’s reason on the form for the treatment was “palliative”.
Always in our hearts and prayers. And soon we’ll be on that train for a day visit. Wonderful.
