Long lost harbour
This is the view from the back of the Livermead Cliff Hotel. At low tide the outline of Torquay’s medieval harbour can be clearly seen. The book and writing group I go to met here today. There are only five of us. We read a book each month but also do homework- a writing exercise based on the book. Today’s book was Remarkable Creatures by Tracey Chevalier - a novel based on Mary Anning and fossil hunting in Lyme Regis. I loved the book.
Bird of the day in the garden yesterday was the male winter blackcap, returning from Western Europe a week earlier than last year. Hurrah. We love it.
