Guess who went to the Zoo today?

Yes! It was me.

Bristol Zoo is gradually relocating to a site on the Motorway Junction north of the city. So we thought we would make a last visit. We used to go a lot using our grandchildren as an excuse and reason but no longer.

Although reducing the Zoo still managed to keep us interested for several hours and  it may appear the Meercats were the stars of the show ( this one was on sentry duty whilst the family slept) the Butterflies won the top prize , see extras.

The Lions are included only because we didn't t want to make them angry although they made no effort to entertain whatsoever ever. 

I've included the Flamigo because it's  semi in focus........
