Roast potatoes

My technique just gets better and better. Latest refinement (courtesy of Samin Nosrat, author of https://www.saltfatacidheat.com/): don’t crowd the tray. Potatoes need space. And use decent quality salt when cooking. Oh and rest them after parboiling. I could go on, being a food bore.

These have the garlic and rosemary twist that is a family favourite. 

Also cooked a double batch of banana bread. With dates and walnuts.

I drove to Brixton and back at 5.30 am this morning. Stayed for about fifteen minutes. Nowhere to get coffee at that time of day. Saturday night dregs, the lost and the lonely, shift changers and of course dodgy characters. Not a place to wander around taking photographs. 

Wonderful catch-up with TGR, she is so into her new job. Lovin’ it.

15,000 steps (but I reckon the Sunday roast and banana bread offset most of those).
