Gone for a Burton - or two

I headed off from Loughborough this morning, passing Burton on Trent and headed up the M6 to my friend Gill's at Burton in Kendal! So two Burton's in a day!
I had a good drive up, clear roads and sunshine.
We headed out for a coffee and cake in a local garden centre then went up the hill behind the village, above Clawthorpe. We hoped to see the sunset as we looked over to the west towards Morecambe Bay but we were a bit late for anything dramatic. I did like the muted colours and the waxing crescent moon. You can just see the brightness of Morecambe Bay below the clouds.
