Cake and rainbow

As a change from flowers and vegetables here’s my wife’s baking for a friend who came for coffee this morning. Even got some British strawberries for the cake.

My contribution was the slightly overboiled jam. Still tasty though I say it myself.

A wild and blustery day with heavy showers and sudden squalls. One of them lifted our roof box (which sat on a flat shed roof) over the wall into our neighbour’s garden!

For a brief moment the weather produced a lovely arc of a rainbow. See extra. I suspect the other neighbours wondered why I was photographing their garden.

An evening of piles of ironing while watching Strictly. Oh the rock and roll life.

Rounded off with completion of a note of a meeting that has required a lot of thought.
