Grommet stopped spin cycle

Did I bore you with our new washing machine delivery issues? After three visits to complain to Curry’s and two visits from their installation teams the machine, cosmetically broken by incompetent handling on initial delivery, failed to work when we finally used it this week. Luckily, our son in law was able to resolve it by a forensic evaluation which culminated in discovering the “drain malfunction issue” was due to a grommet left in the hose which should have been removed on initial installation! Hey ho! (The Pesky grommet gets the spotlight of my Blip today!)

Last night’s Fireworks were significantly subdued. Perhaps less parties because of Covid? Even more awareness of firework polluting the air during COP26? Maybe locked down induced dog ownership is also a factor?

Fire crews being attacked by mobs of youths at several bonfire locations in Scotland last night leaves me speechless.
