Up For The Cup

Chris & I had an away day with our friends and fellow Yeovil fans, Howard and Steve, to watch Yeovil play Yate Town (just north of Bristol) in the FA Cup 1st Round.

Yate play two leagues below us but had beaten a team from our league in the last qualifying round so it was a potential banana skin as they obviously fancied another giant killing.

Fortunately, we were definitely up for the Cup too and gave a really professional performance, scoring twice in the first 15 minutes and never giving them a chance to really threaten us. In the end we ran out comfortable 5-0 winners, having played plenty of entertaining football.

The photo shows the players celebrating the 4th goal, scored by our striker Adi Youssef who is in the middle of the melee somewhere. His wife and family are just the other side of the hoardings.

While we were at the match Tess & Kate were enjoying a bit of Christmas shopping in Taunton.
