Beach Pilates
This morning I went for a lovely 4.5 mile windswept walk with G, JohnRH and W which definitely blew the cobwebs away. We started at Holkham and walked along the beach to Wells. At the start there were a lot of twitchers with scopes who were looking at shore lark(s), but we couldn't see them. I've since read that even in a good year there are only a few hundred in the UK, often less than a hundred. The vast beaches of Holkham and Wells were quite quiet. I'd taken my long lens, so couldn't capture the vastness of the beach, but I did get this photo of one of three seals at Wells having a stretch. After a cuppa at the half way point, we returned by the edge of the pine trees. A very enjoyable walk, with excellent company.
Day 600 / Day 111 of Step 4 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
New daily cases dropped today to 30,693, it will be interesting to see if this drop falls or if like previous falls since July it's a temporary reprieve. Indeed the fall is not yet shown in the ONS infection survey results. In England from Monday people can book their booster jab appointments after 5 months since their 2nd dose, to take place after 6 months have passed. Waterford City in Ireland is the epicentre of Ireland's 4th wave despite having an amazing 99.5% of adults over 18 double-jabbed, with changing public behaviour thought to be a key reason.
