Wintry Beech tree and St Charles Presbytery
The Feast Day of St. Charles Borromeo.
The Church building behind the Beech tree is St. Charles Borromeo Church.
It is sadly closed due to diocesan decisions. The numbers of attenders was not deemed enough to keep the church open, that and concerns about the building. So I thought i would blip it as a sign of the times. My children were altar servers there along with children from the adjoining Primary school, and they received their Holy Sacraments there. We have many happy memories of their childhood years and the loss of the church community is akin to the loss of a dear friend.
I am going to stay indoors doing housework during the morning, as it is 7c outside but feels much colder. I have bought our newspaper and posted an anniversary card to Paul's parents. They will have been married 78 years on 6th November.
Thanks for dropping by and have a lovely day blip friends.
