Street Artist

I have long had an interest in the art that goes onto these power boxes.  Today for the first time I got to meet an artist working on her box.  She is a part time artist who also studies conservation at the technical institute.  Her box is going to depict New Zealand fungi.  She showed me on her phone an amazing painting of wax eyes, kowhai flowers and bellbirds.  She has submitted it to be painted on another box in Richmond. I hope she is successful because I will pass that box every time I go down to the shops.  Can't wait to see this finished.
