High flyers

Yesterday afternoon notices went up on lampposts and no waiting bollards appeared on the street. The notices stated that there was to be no parking from this morning for two days. So plenty of notice - not!

There was no explanation but this morning all became clear. A massive crane blocked the street at telephone poles were replaced in neighbour’s back gardens. A couple of extras, one showing it stretching across a house, carrying a couple of men to work at the top of the poles.

All done by mid afternoon and all the bollards etc removed. So we started reparking outside the house.
