Homework … but not as I remembered it!

These two work hard at school. Walk quickly home full of chatter about their busy days. They negotiate their own screen time and ask me to set my phone timer to adjudicate equitable allocation!

F1 is the 9 year old’s game of choice. Lego is the preference of the six year old. Actually they collaborate as team mates in the Lego world but it all happens so fast I cannot keep up! There is great creativity and ingenuity at play here and I am impressed by what they are learning.

We spent the morning emptying cardboard boxes and setting up the kitchen. We have a plan to sort out rooms in sequence. We acknowledge that it will take some time to be totally organised. We also plan to live in the house and get used to what works and looks best rather than simply replicate what went where in our former Edinburgh house!
