Pretty Little Fun Guy

Taken on a walk through Rectory with Allegra to post my PCR test at our nearest "priority postbox". (Think I might need to cut some fingernails tomorrow...)

Our day was suddenly jolted into a very different one by Deb yelling up the stairs that her routine twice weekly lateral flow that she and Sam have been doing for seven months now - had tested positive. Which meant that the kids, already in their uniforms, couldn't go to school and everyone had to go off and do a PCR test.

And we've all had to cancel what we were planning for the day. And Paul had to come home from work. Mike had sent off his PCR earlier, so he's already had his result - negative; the rest of us are still waiting... And Deb has isolated in her (en suite) room (Sam is sleeping in the living room), but no symptoms so far.

Gratefuls:
- painting with Allegra (as you can see on her pinkie), showing her how the sky goes down to whatever is coming up from the ground; she ended up with a beautiful autumn scene
- cleaning the house from bottom to top, felt good to accomplish something
- Paul's sourdough bread, and Sam's pumpkin soup, and relaxed time with family, even though unplanned
