Roupell Street

I love this road.

From around mid-2002 until early 2004, I was working on Upper Thames Street, and Roupell Street was part of the route I walked each day, from and then back to Waterloo.

This is one of the few areas of London that survived the Blitz completely intact and, consequently, period drama is often filmed here. I always liked it because there would be three or four old Citroën cars parked at the end nearest to the station.

Anyway, today Abi and I travelled up here to meet Dan at the Kings Arms. I'm not sure what was lovelier: seeing Dan or seeing Dan and Abi together.
