Diary of an Edinburgher

Relaxing day

A nice sunny morning for those residents who went out today - Archie and JR. I did not. Though I think my 43 registered steps are a gross underestimation.

Robert took Archie up the hill on a big walk, and stayed for a cuppa when they came back. And - very exciting - we mentioned to him about our holiday next spring, and with a bit of gentle suggestion… he has agreed to have Archie come to stay with him. Yay! Archie loves him, so he’ll be very happy.

JR went into town to get some ‘Pilates socks’ whatever they are, so Archie and I relaxed for the afternoon, making frequent visits to the larder and fridge.

In fact, I started watching ‘Squid Game’… not as bad as I first thought. It’s violent, with lots of spurting blood, but the lead actor is very good, and unlike, say,  ‘Maid’ - one has immediate empathy for him. Though JR arrived home at a rather bloodythirsty killing spree, and declared it unwatchable.

Also watched quite a bit of COP26. A few wee steps forward today…

A very exciting day tomorrow. I have been waiting a long time for this (6 months) - I go back to the cardio chap, to declare that the pills he gave me were useless, and to please try the next thing on his list of possible treatments/procedures to determine why I can’t walk for more than 10 minutes without having to sit down for a rest.
