B-Day minus 5 =

= build-up day 2.

Weather beyond our control put paid to today’s picnic, which will take place tomorrow.

Plan B for a rainy day was 10 pin bowling with a couple of friends. What a hoot. The last time I bowled was in Australia, 14 years ago. I still have the knack.

There was a friendly rivalry between the three of us as our competitive sides emerged; plus some hysterics at each others antics and distraction tactics.

And a strawberry milkshake appeared as if by magic, just as we began to wind down. Perfect.
