Shadow patterns

A beautiful sunny day. We did the usual Friday morning routine then I spent just over an hour in the garden. We're supposed to have a sunny weekend, so hopefully the garden cleanup will be completed on Sunday.  WooHoo!
A big win for Kalyn and team in Anchorage last night. Kalyn led the team in blocks and kills, and although she plays Middle Blocker and rarely serves, she got 2 aces as well. Well done, Captain K! Such a pleasure to watch her excel in the sport she loves. They lost the first set 23-25, then came back to win the next three sets, 25-18, 25-19 and 25-11. Hoping for more of the same tomorrow in Fairbanks. We got a message from her - it's snowing there!  
A huge shout out to Kalyn and 9 of her teammates who were named to the 2021 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Volleyball All-Academic Team.  To make the team, the players must achieve a minimum cumulative GPA or 3.20 or greater. Not only great athletes but great students as well, and to have that many players named to the All-Academic team is a fine achievement. This is Kalyn's 2nd year being named to it.  Well done to all of them!
Can't wait to watch them play when we're over for their games next weekend!
