I Said “Anchor”

During my brief visit to Plymouth I walked past this anchor several times, it’s size doesn’t really do the ship it came from, HMS Ark Royal, justice.
Sat in the sunshine I was trying to explain to my granddaughter that the size of the anchor is not relevant to the size of the ship but that the chain on any anchor is the most important part of the entire anchoring system.
I noticed the plate about the WRNS and as Mrs S is an ex ‘Jenny’ I thought I’d get a photo of it.

Out to the Macular Clinic at Helston in the morning to have it confirmed that as a result of the steroid injections I now have a cataract in my right eye. On the plus side the glaucoma is improving due to the eye drops.
It’s the Ying and the Yang.

Home by bus was longer than expected having missed the one I was aiming for by about three minutes. I still had enough time to sort myself out before heading off the the St Austell RNA meeting.
Ok but not quite what I was expecting.
