Flower Friday . . . Mutabilis Rose

Today I went to the movies and saw The Rose Maker so my blip has to be a rose. This is a China rose introduced prior to 1894.  The flowers pass through three distinct colour phases, beginning with yellow, changing to pink and finally crimson.  It is rambling along a trellis below the deck and I can just lean over the rail and take a picture.  I recommend the movie, life affirming and of course looking at roses in bloom for an hour and a half is no hardship for me.
