Sally Mair - Loving life

Don't look..... Down!

Other aficionados of Alton Towers will recognise that as the strap line for the oblivion ride. Many the times I watched Kathryn and Ali launch from it. It was one of the few rides I didn't try out, possibly the only one. Cleo was having one of her mad turns after dinner tonight, she regularly launches herself half way up our glazed dining room doors.
Today Ali and I went out to the Gyle and popped into a couple of shops. She bought herself a jacket, handy for walking with pugs and prams during cold, wet weather!
I had a hair appointment this afternoon, I'd decided at my last cut to try it a little longer. It didn't take me long though, to decide that was a mistake. Today my hair is back to my usual short style, I'm so much happier with it.
We had our evening prayer service today. I 've not been able to attend for a few weeks so it was good to be back in the group.
We watched the Bettany Hughes programme on Vesuvius this evening. I found some of her interpretation irritating, but generally interesting. I wonder when I'll get back to Naples.

There has been heavy rain across much of the south of Scotland today, not too bad in Edinburgh but severe flooding elsewhere. I hope those of you who read this have not been badly affected.
I seem to have dodged any side effects of my vaccines so far. Fingers crossed that continues.
Keep safe everyone.
