Close Encounter ….

…. with a herd of male bouquetin above the Fenestral Col. This might be my last big walk of the year as the temperatures are plummeting and snow will be falling to at least 2000m on Sunday to Monday, well below where the bouquetin were. As many of you know, I love finding these magnificent animals which can weigh up to 150kg, especially at this time of year, before the rut and before the hard winter to come. However I did get a shock when I popped up just in front of a parade of them (extra from Tim, thank you, and a couple of other close ups).
