Nature’s Lace….

This is a closeup view of the flowers of our Viburnum plicadum Mariesii. It is otherwise known as the “Doublefile Viburnum” or more romantically, the “Wedding Cake Bush”. This is because of its tiered, layered appearance. Certainly its flowers look like the rich, embroidered lace seen on elaborate wedding dresses.
We had a busy day. I took Keith to the Barber and afterwards we visited good friends, Rachel and Richard where they live out in the country. A lovely visit. And yay, tonight it is raining. Just when we need it.
