A Pair of Number 25's

Birthday boy grandson Merrick (age 11) has 2 favorite football players, Tom Brady and Bryce, a local kid on our high school football team, who wears number 25 like Merrick does.

Unbeknownst to him, his momma (my daughter Karen) had hatched a plan for Bryce to show up at his party. 

How nice is it that a 17 year old young man would take time out of his night and show up at an 11 year old's birthday party? Bryce showed up with his mother, autographed a football that my daughter had bought, and posed for pictures with Merrick.

After the big surprise, the rest of us were chopped liver, but in the extras is a picture of a painting I made for the little man, and two pictures of the birthday cake.

Hard to believe he is 11. Next year, we're going to try to get Tom Brady to show up.
