Through the arch window....

Today's blip features one of two remaining gates around the old part of the city. These are quite large and obviously offered good protection against any marauding invaders. Back in the day, there were 8, so good fortification. Today, the marauding invaders are arguably the tourists, to which Mrs P and I also belong. We have definitely noticed an uptick in numbers and the city has become more multicultural than ever. French, Dutch, Germans, Russians, Brits, Italians and Polish are the accents we have noticed the most.
