The British Seaside
Come wind and rain, sleet and snow, we Brits have a thing about the seaside, be it piers, promenades or funfairs, come the slightest bit of sunshine and we head for the coast.
Today Heather was running in an event and then we headed for Cleethorpes, which from what I can tell is up there with Skegness and Scarborough, although definitely not in the same league as Blackpool Southport and Bridlington. (is there a market for a fantasy seaside resort league?)
Today the sun was out, and the wind was whistling along the beach whipping up little sandstorms. It was not a warm day with the wind blowing. But still Brits were eating ice-cream, making sandcastles and trying to sunbathe.
