I never seem to learn....

I worked very hard in the garden, clearing rubbish and cutting grass. 

Before I began, I switched the washing macchine on, carefully putting the drainage tube under the wc seat because there have  been too many water all over the floor events in the past. To be on the safe side, I switched it off again before going out. I came back indoors in to fix an electric plug and removed the drainage pipe in order to use the wc.
 Three hours of hard work and I was quite tired, brain not working properly, switched the washing macchine back on and sat on the sofà. 
Trickle, swoosh, water all over the floor and just about to flood the basement. I caught it just in time to prevent another disaster. I really couldn't face that again. It has happened so many times.
The blip is Diospyros in various phases of maturation. They have to be picked before they are ripe otherwise the birds eat them or the fall to the ground in a sticky slosh.

Humpy says he saw a large rat in the basement and a vermin expert is about to arrive to deal with it. 
Right now I would prefer to be somewhere else.
