Food delivery
One of the few gains over the last 18 months of losses has been the proliferation of food delivery services.
One* that I hadn't come across before advertised on the local Facebook page last week, so we tried them out. They've only been going for about 7 months, operating out of Bungay, and they seem to be gradually expanding their delivery rounds. They very sensibly limit the number of meals they cook on any one day - just one "carnivore" and one "herbivore" menu (a main and three sides on each, only the main seems to differ on the two menus), a few extras like naans, samosas, and the meat dish I ordered, and once their limit is reached, they close the order book.
It was delicious and generous. They say that one of their menus will comfortably serve two. We ordered the vegetarian menu with an additional meat dish, and we've had a full dinner twice (this was my second evening meal - I had at least as much as this yesterday), and there's a bit left for a wrap for lunch on the third day. Food delivered cooked, but chilled, for reheating. We added rice and Naan.
* they don't have a website, otherwise I would have been delighted to link to it.
