Downy Drops

This little downy woodpecker on the feeder is the only bird in sight this afternoon. Not even a squirrel has stopped by. It’s been a cool rainy day, but after a brief reprieve tonight, a 2-day Nor’easter arrives tomorrow morning. MrsP moaned about the forecast until I added “at least it isn’t white”. We have had snow for Halloween but it is unusual. Only treats this year, Mother Nature, no tricks, please! • Despite the rain we ventured out to visit our local cellular phone store to upgrade my phone from 64GB to 128GB, and to replace MrsP’s screen protector. Then off to Walmart to pick up cat food, a few items for the freezer, and extra toiletries. Many shelves were bare, and it’s only going to get worse with the ongoing worker shortages, supply chain interruptions and the increased holiday demand that’s on the horizon. It’s really looking like a perfect storm, and it’s concerning. In contrast I’ll take a Nor’easter any day, wet or white! • Happy Monday Y’all!
