Those fallen leaves lie undisturbed now
We deprived our neighbours of the apples this year - we still can't actually get over the fact that they told us they had been pinching the apples last year and had come round to ask if they could pull some from our side of the fence......
One of our allotment mates appealed for apples so that he could endeavour to make cider. It was quite funny, because we told him we had them for him, and he turned up at the allotment with a little basket - a small trug... I looked at it and said, you'll need a bigger one than that.
Si had pulled a bread tray full for him. Despite that, and despite the fact that he has also made 20 jars of Apple Jelly - there are still apples on the trees - i loved the look of this one - the sun was shining, the air was a bit still (for a moment) and it just looked like perfect autumn weather.
