2021 Saturday — Rows of Grapevines
This photo was captured north of Santa Barbara and north of Buellton on California’s 101 Freeway as we were traveling to California’s Central Coast today.
We left SoCal at 7:00 a.m. in the rain and left the moisture behind at about Pasadena, but the thick cloud coverage stayed with us till beyond Santa Barbara.
Our journey today was exactly 4 hours of traveling and two very very quick stops, which totaled 35 minutes. When we arrived at Cayucos the sky was blue with big fluffy clouds pouring over the hills south of Los Osos.
Our friends, Tom & Joy, were staying an extra day at their little beach place before returning to their home in San Fernando Valley tomorrow and they invited us to come to their place for burgers. We were delighted. Their son and daughter-in-law and two teenage grandsons live here and they were coming for dinner too!
It’s good to be back on the coast. We were only gone a week, but this is where we want to be.
Good night from the coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
