Scunthorpe

A trip across the Humber bridge to an urban orienteering event in Scunthorpe. Richard’s father worked in the steelworks until Richard was two when they moved to Middlesbrough. 

We both enjoyed our courses which had a mix of controls in the shopping centre and interesting housing estates.

Just had to Blip this Ray Lonsdale Sculpture which was dedicated to the steelworkers. I’ve posted an extra which includes the dedication complete with an orienteering kite.
