Burway Beaten

Today was the inaugural Church Stretton 10k Road Race. These girls all booked up long before the route was announced, but I booked in the full knowledge that we'd be running up the Burway. In my defence, it was pure FOMO. As expected, it was a brutal first half (I'm scared at even driving the Burway) but downhill for the whole second half. I was thoroughly impressed by getting beaten by a 62 lady on her first ever race (to be fair, she had been running all her life, just not racing). 

Somebody came to chat to me afterwards, thinking I was called Ellie. She works in one of the schools we visit and so she went on a 50/50 punt with the name!

Came home and googled more races. Obvs.
