Just For The Record
Part of a set of tableware I grew up with. My gran used to save Embassy coupons from her cigarettes and was so pleased when she could get nice things for the house. Mum and nan both smoked heavily in those days so coupons mounted up.
My gran lived until she was 92 so she didn't think the smoking had done her any harm but at least the Embassy had filter tips and got her off the woodbines.
I still use the two remaining Alfred Meakin dinner plates and the cracked sugar bowl. #2 Daughter has some soup bowls. Now that I've taken this blip I can throw away the cup and saucer.
Photos are such good holders for memories, especially in a blip journal.
