Ray of light

Strange things happened today. The sky turned a shade of blue, not white, in places. There was a yellow ball in the sky that emitted something that apparently is called 'warmth' (yes, 4C is warm). The snow is still over the tops of the dykes in places - maybe can see that in the distance here. But there was no fresh snowfall other than a little overnight.
