Boat Ride

Rough day, but still filled with love and good memories.  9 years ago today Sumner left us.  We always try to do something special and take the day off if we can. We took a boat ride today, across the Brunswick River to Fort Fisher and Carolina Beach from Southport.  We drove our car onto the ferry and enjoyed the ride across.  We decided to drive back to Southport where there are little shops and a fishing village, but it seems "You can't get there from here" without the ferry so we ended up back in Wilmington. We walked around the The Cotton Exchange an old brick building now home to many little shops, got a ladybug kite for Miss Na'iema and then headed home.  Some really nice messages from friends and family and it's almost over.  October, can't wait to say goodbye to you.
