Toffee Apple Tuesday

In the ‘spirit’ of Halloween and after a busy day at work, I had a much needed gin and tonic with my tea tonight.

We had a good chat last night about my work situation so I know what I’m doing now.
I’ve told one boss today that I want to reduce my hours. I only ever did 2 days a week there, but since Marina died, I’ve accrued another day. This wouldn’t be an issue but he is looking to retire and the practice has been up for sale since before the pandemic.
My newest job want me to do more days there, so looking at the long term, I need to make myself available and ‘future proof’ my career.

Tomorrow, I need to hand in my resignation at another practice. It’s a shame as I’ve been there for 9 years but have never had a pay rise (despite asking!) amongst other niggles which I doubt will ever improve.

As is typical for me, as one door closes another one opens and I’ve already been offered a job which will replace the one I’m leaving. I was hoping for a rest! :-D
