Spot the angel

Gorgeous weather today and a day wandering around Venice with Martin, our art critic friend who had wonderful things to show us in every church and gallery.  This, the Frari in the district of San Polo was near our hotel and blew me away.  The detail the colours the light which poured into the place. I particularly loved this corner, the soft brickwork, the tapestry fresco and there, somewhere, you can see an angel apparently lifting the corner of the fabric.  

We had a quick pit stop for lunch and went on to more churches and more walking before a delicious dinner in La Bitta, cash only, small menu where i ate artichoke hearts in cheese sauce which sounds horrible but was absolutely delicious and liver.
