Primal Scream - Shine Like Stars (Andrew Weatherall Remix) (1991)
The Primal Scream album Screamadelica, which closed with Shine Like Stars, has just reached its 30th anniversary, so a box set of 12" singles from the album and a CD of demos and work-in-progress mixes was released on this day. There are two mixes of this song on the new CD, Demodelica, a Jam Studio Monitor Mix and an Eden Studio Demo. I acquired the CD on this day, but one would have to spend over £100 to buy the twelve-inchers (plus I don't have a turntable), which include this previously unreleased remix by the late Andrew Weatherall. Bobby Gillespie of the band thinks it is probably based on the Eden Studio demo.
