Caen Hill (Wednesday 13th October 2021)

Archie had an overnight stay at the garage for a minor procedure in the morning, and when that was done I had arranged with C. to drive directly from there to her home in Trowbridge. She very sadly now has only one kitten, Loki, as Mika came to grief on the road on Monday.

I spent the day there and we visited Trowbridge Garden Centre for a bit of a potter. I stopped at Caen Hill on the return trip and parked near the café. I'd seen one of the swans on the canal near Bath Road Bridge on the outward journey but instead I found a rather obliging heron in the same space. It flew off several times but always landed again close enough for me to catch up and get more shots.

When I drove off c. 1720 hr I am almost certain I spotted fellow blipper Number147 walking home from work. I returned home after a grocery shop at Devizes Morrison's, 1810 hr.
