Day 12 Level 3 Lockdown Step 1

The weather forecast was for strong winds and rain, so we went out for our walk first thing. We certainly got the best part of the day because, while the wind was fresh, there wasn’t any rain and the sun appeared for a very short time. Later in the day the wind strengthened and the rain made its appearance. It’s been rather cold, too.

There were 51 new community cases today, 4 of which were in the Waikato region. The results of yesterday’s Super Saturday vaccination push are:
Total vaccinations administered - 130,002
85% of New Zealanders have now had their first jab
65% of New Zealanders are now fully vaccinated
